Good luck with your operation – we’ll keep all our paws crossed for you. We saw 2 magpies this morning, so hopefully that’s a good sign.
Mummy said that the nice vet will call her after the op, so hopefully we’ll hear something soon.

11am and Mummy’s just had an update from the vet. Hal has had his operation and is now starting to recover from the anaesthetic. Some tissue and bone has been removed to ease his elbow and he’ll now be put on anti-inflammatories for at least a month. But it’s not all good news – he’s got a lot of wear in his elbow joint so won’t be able to run around and play as much as I’d like at all in future.
The vet wants to give him a couple of months to recover from the op, and then reassess him. I just hope my elbow doesn’t go the same way.

Hal’s coming home! Well, not until tomorrow, but Mummy has a provisional time to collect him of 10:30…
She said she had to pay lots and lots and lots of money to get him back, but he’s worth it.
A really nice nurse phoned up to say that he’s recovered well from the operation, has had something to eat, and has now started his oral medication – at least that sounds good. I hope he sleeps well tonight so that I can spend time with him tomorrow.

Oh no – the stair gate has come out, and so has the cage…. And Mummy’s made a bed up for her in the lounge so that we can live in the downstairs of the house until Hal is better. But I love our room upstairs – is the downstairs big enough for all of us?
Mummy’s just explained that Hal is only allowed freedom of a maximum of 2 rooms and will not be allowed upstairs for the next 6 weeks. And he needs a place to retreat and rest – hence the cage. But Mummy says that unlike last time he won’t have to be shut in the cage for the next 6 weeks, so we can at least snuggle up together.

Scraps got jealous because I have so many cat friends! I also have a Salamander as a friend there. I didn’t like to ask her, but what is a Salamander? She has no fur & lives in a tank, but she isn’t a fish.
