We were out watching the sun rise this morning, and as it did so Mummy noticed a very blue sky, but with wispy grey streaks – could this be volcanic ash? It certainly didn’t look like normal clouds. Mummy took a couple of photos – the cloud doesn’t look as well defined as it was to the naked eye, but what do you think?

Could be. Is volcanic ash the same as ash from the fire? How did it get up there? What’s a volcanic?
Skoryy, where have you been for the last week? Even we know about the volcano in Iceland (but where’s Iceland? – is that near you, given all the snow you had when we were in Ireland? Did someone just get confused and change an ‘r’ to a ‘c’?)
Iceland sounds cold ~ yappy Loopy’s dadda comes from there & he talks funny, so it can’t be Ireland gone wrong. We didn’t have a volcano here ~ what’s a volcano? Mumma has the radio on, but it sends me to sleep….
Anyway, mumma’s finally come home & I’m tired waiting up for her after my gallop earlier. I galloped to the big horses & home again behind MollyMare & a new carty-thing. Chut’ty said he kept up with the cart ALL the time ~ but I had doggies to talk to on the way & that’s why I got left behind a few times! Twiglet wanted a lift in the cart, but mumma made her run.
