Week 3, Day 7

I would just like to say that I’m not wearing one of those!

Mummy made our Cavie brothers wear a little coat this morning on their walk, the reason being that they are so small their tummies get wet and muddy, and they have such long fur.  Well, they might not mind, but I just want to make it very clear that I will never be seen in anything like that – I’m a real dog, after all!  Mummy has promised to try to find a photo of them in their coats so I can post it here….

And here are the photos, taken in the snow earlier this year, before we were born:

Hi it’s Shandy here – I would just like to point out that these coats are used by Search & Rescue dogs – ie those that do a proper job, not puppies that just lie around or play all day!

Cousin Gizzy had to have an operation today – get well soon little Gizzy, we’re thinking of you.

I don’t wear a coat and I am a CKC. But then where I live it’s so muddy a coat would just pick up more mud anyway.

It’s a good thing that I am half-brown because I look half-less dirty as a result, although I am always in-out-in-out the house anyway, so the only thing that keeps me clean is a bath… and that’s for 1/2 an hour then I am outside getting gloriously dirty again anyway.

It’s such fun. I have now taken to running off into the woods and enjoy hiding away while my entire family comes looking for me. Sometimes I can escape them for hours! I so enjoy that game. Especially when I can come trotting out of the woods at a place that they least expect me and look very smug.

Skoryy is growing his own jumper ~ I think I’ll be spinning dog fur when he moults in the Spring. He manages to get himself covered in mud, despite being the size of a small pony, but is brilliant at then getting his white bits back to white & even combs his tail out.
